What key roles does the oil outlet valve play in the automobile engine?

The oil outlet valve plays several key roles in the automobile engine.

Control fuel injection: As a one-way valve, the main function of the oil outlet valve is to rise when the oil pressure is higher than the preload of the oil outlet valve spring and the residual pressure in the high-pressure oil pipe when the injection pump supplies oil, allowing the fuel to enter the high-pressure oil pipe. This ensures that the fuel is injected into the engine cylinder at the correct time and pressure, thereby achieving effective combustion.

Prevent oil dripping before injection: At the beginning of the injection pump supply, the sealing cone of the oil outlet valve fits tightly to the valve seat to prevent the fuel from leaking into the high-pressure oil pipe in advance. This ensures that the fuel can enter the high-pressure oil pipe through the oil outlet valve only after accumulating enough pressure in the pump oil chamber, thereby avoiding the phenomenon of oil dripping before injection and improving the injection speed and fuel efficiency.

Prevent oil dripping after injection: When the oil supply is stopped, the lower edge of the pressure relief belt of the oil outlet valve enters the conduit, cutting off the passage between the high-pressure oil pipe and the pump chamber. Subsequently, the oil outlet valve is completely seated and lowered a certain distance, so that the volume of the high-pressure oil pipe increases and the oil pressure drops rapidly, thereby realizing a quick and clean oil cut-off and preventing the phenomenon of oil dripping after injection caused by oil pressure fluctuations. This helps to reduce fuel waste and emission pollution.

Maintaining residual pressure in the high-pressure oil pipe: The oil outlet valve acts as a check valve when the oil supply is stopped to prevent the fuel from flowing back from the high-pressure oil pipe. This ensures that a certain residual pressure is maintained in the high-pressure oil pipe, which is conducive to shortening the injection delay phase of the next cycle and making each fuel supply faster and more stable. At the same time, the residual pressure also helps to discharge the air in the high-pressure oil pipe, which is conducive to the smooth start of the diesel engine.

Influence on engine performance and stability: The working state of the oil outlet valve directly affects the fuel injection system of the engine, and then affects the performance and stability of the engine. For example, wear or failure of the oil outlet valve may cause irregular fuel injection, reduced engine power, increased fuel consumption and other problems. Therefore, regular inspection and maintenance of the oil outlet valve is essential to ensure the normal operation of the engine.

The oil outlet valve plays a key role in controlling fuel injection, preventing oil dripping before and after injection, maintaining residual pressure in the high-pressure oil pipe, and affecting engine performance and stability in automobile engines. It is one of the important components in the engine fuel injection system and plays an irreplaceable role in ensuring the normal operation and performance of the engine.
